Helicopter noise
I'm getting a noise that sounds exactly like a helicopter is hovering over my car. I only hear it at 25-26 mph in 2nd or 3rd gear maintaining speed. I can't pinpoint where on the car it's coming from. Anyone else heard this before? What might be the cause?

Unless you are on a wanted list ..I can't even begin to imagine what would cause such a sound.

This sounds like you have one window rolled down and the other one rolled up. Try rolling down both and I bet the chopper will leave you alone. lol.

I knew I was going to get some smart ass comments on this. Lol, thanks guys.
For tires I run Goodyear supercars. Windows are up so it's not the buffeting sound. I have Dual mode exhaust.

The sound remains the same in any gear so it's something in the drive line and not the engine or tranny. I also have noticed it only does it when I first drive it, once the drive train is fully warmed up I don't notice it.

The best I can tell is that it's from some kind of turbulent airflow off the side mirrors when the window is down at 25-26ish mph - it hits some kind of weird harmonic.

For right now I'm just going to monitor it and see if it gets any worse. Just hoping somebody might have this figured out already.

It's called buffeting. It's unequal air pressure trying to enter the cabin. Google it.
