Hard acceleration issue?
So i traded up from a 2011 LT to a 2012 SS. :-)
But on this SS i think i have a problem. When in Drive if i do about 35-40 and then floor it its ok. ( also also allot more fun than LT ) But in Sport mode if i do the same thing it goes for a second and most of the time it stutters and bog's out and sometimes i can see the stability track light come on. What should i check first? is this common?

Try holding the button down and turning off the safety features....see how it acts then

breaking the tires loose causes this all the time, even though you don't feel it

This is not breaking the tires. The engine almost stops and the RPM's drop to almost idle when you nail it. Not good at all.
and again so far i only see it when in Sport mode not Drive. I will try with the safety features off. Thanks Might be that TB issue others are having also.

Hard acceleration issue?

It's the ST/TC. I noticed this when I upgrade from my LLT. I just drive in competition mode all the time and problem gone. Sent from my 2SS/RS |

My ZL1 does the same thing, I am trying figure out how to keep it going strong from 0-60, If I gun it, TC even in PTM setting 5 (Race mode) kicks in and shuts me down, it drives me insane and slows me down more than if I had wheel slippage.

First, experiment with the traction and stability control options available in Sport.
1. Full-on nannies 2. Traction control off (one tap) 3. Competition mode (two taps) 4. All off (hold down until everything shuts down, count to 10) For all of the above try moderating the way you step on the gas. Don't stab, but press down while saying "one thousand one". The result will be quicker than the stab. |

This isn't a problem. This is the computer system keeping you from finding yourself in the nearest ditch. Hold the center console button for about 7 seconds until all the nannies shut down (two yellow lights in the dash will appear) and then try your rolling throttle punch. There will be no more bogging.

Its a problem and a big one for me. Something is very wrong.
Sometimes if a am doing 34-40mh and nail it. When it down shifts the Eng will bogg down and and studer hard. Not always but 1 out of 3-4 times. Does not matter if TC is on or off or in D or Sport mode. I think its something with the Tune or TB. I know there was a TSB for TB. Going to have it checked soon.

If you have turned off all the nannies and you are still having an issue, then it's time to go in and see the dealer. Others have had this complaint but I don't believe they have updated their threads with the solution.
