I wish I had more hands....So I could give the 3.45's 4 Thumbs up
You may have to peddle the throttle a little in 1st and 2nd but its better than wanting more power IMO. All the best, Jared Royce 888.308.6007 |

I have one of Teds complete diffs with all the options in 3.91 on my L99 with maggie and love them. This is a street only car and yes you can burn them at will in 1 & 2nd but if you drive smart, you can also get the full effect out of them as well. For street use, i love them and still only run around 2500 rpms at highway cruising speeds.

Thanks for all the great info everyone. Not really looking to spend enough to go with a new TC or new complete differential, though things to consider for another day. Based on the feedback not sure it's worth the work / $ to just do 3.45s on their own.
I'm not really looking to make big changes to the way the car drives, I'm quite happy with it now. Only thing I'd like is a bit more response immediately when pressing the accelerator. Was wondering whether 3.45s alone would do that.

On my 02 a4 z28 I went from 2.73 to 3.73 gears, and then later I installed a 3600 stall converter, I felt the stall converter alot more than I did with my gears, not to mention dropped my 1/4 mile by a little more than .5 seconds, and atleast 12 years ago it wasn't to bad priced to do either
