Adding a backup camera on 2013 LT Camaro
Alright so I have the 2013 1LT Camaro which comes with the MyLink Infotainment system, however it does not have a backup camera. I was wondering if there is a way I can install a camera that would work through the MyLink screen? I took my car to CarToys today but they said I needed to order some adapter that would cost about $700....definitely don't want to do that. Anyone know what I can do? Thanks!

Do not let CarToys touch it.

I have the '13 1LT too and I really want a back-up camera!
I called the dealership and they said they couldn't install it for me. So.... I contacted Ofer, from gen5diy.com and we talked about it a bit. I plan on opening up the back of the mylink head unit to see what kind of connections I have available... to see if it's even possible. The problem is, it's 19 degrees outside and I don't work well in the cold. It'll have to wait until it warms up. |
