You have a pretty quick car and must be a real good driver your stock time is awesome.

What was the DA on that run?

A quick check with Dragtimes shows that the DA was anywhere from -500 to -750 depending on what time the run was.

Well, I broke her after going racing Wednesday Night fun night. On the way back it drove pretty weird, so I took it to my dads after I got off work Thursday. We had it on the lift and he went through the gears and you could hear the throw out bearing. After he shut it off he hit the clutch pedal again and then the throw out bearing failed and we got a nice puddle of brake fluid on the floor. Not what I wanted to spend the money on but o well, should have ordered one when I realized one wasn't in the clutch kit I ordered and knocked it out in one drop of the transmission.

But ran a best of 12.08 @ 117. Had a good bit of 12.1X's to boot after starting the night out horribly. Rolled through the lights twice and car wouldn't go into second twice. Which both were probably because of the throw out bearing being ready to go out. Im just glad It didn't blow going down the track.

New PB Stock
DA was 1445ft

Race weight 4150 just over 1/2 tank of 94

Tires Hankook 275/40/20 rear 245/45/20 front

60 ft 2.043 1/8th 8.664 at 84.30 mph 1/4 13.342 at 105.48mph

Went to the track last night and had some awesome DA (800-1100), so I figured Id run pretty good. I was wrong, I ran slower with the same 60' as I have ran in 2300+ DA, MPH was down ~3mph then what it typically runs. Wish I had the means to data log it last night. Only made 3 passes and 12.008 was the best I could do

Mine ended the beginning of last month when I toasted another clutch. TH400 is in the works though, clutch issues solved.

Atleast 5 months before our tracks open back up.

First passes in my car tonight. Just CAI w/ scoop, and MBRP catback for HP mods. BMR rear suspension mods as well. On street tires...

12.665 1/4 mile ET
111.45 1/4 mile trap speed
1.988 60' time

Couldn't complain, considering my first pass was a 13.45@109.9 (I bogged it badly). Second pass was 12.75 before the final 12.66. Wanted to shoot for 12.5xxx...but ran out of time

Thanks. I was pretty happy for a first time in this car. Clutch is tricky to me in this car (weird, high engagement point). You got it, practice, practice, practice!

Took my 2014 ss out for the first time last night. Had a hell of a time getting the car to 60ft. ended up just slipping the clutch at 2000 rpm because anything more and I would spin all of 1st. Here's my best time:

60ft.--2.302
330---6.097
1/8---9.080
mph--83.07
1000-11.605
1/4--13.710
mph--108.87

Buying some Drag radials today haha. Also, dont know how much of a difference it makes, but our elevation here is 2,200 ft above sea level.

Need some real solid answers

I have a 2012 Camaro SS that has a modified LS3 engine Magnuson Super Charger 12 pounds boost and a comp cam kit. 391 gears and a manual Tremec 6060 trans.
I put M/T Drag Radial ll's onto 20 inch x11 rims. actual tire is P305/35R20.
I ran them only once and couldn't get any traction off the line and spun them hitting second gear too.
I called M/T and the guy told me that these tires are not for a manual trans due to their configuration - too hard and no give in the sidewall for manual trans only designed for automatics. Funny, the first guy I talked to at M/T told me these are the right tires.
My question is what tire/wheel combo and or suspension mods should I make so it can hook up and put the power it has to the track. The best run I had on it was 12.03 at 120mph and 60' is only 2.143. I know it can run low 11's because of my prior experience driving a 10 second Chevelle. It is pulling hard through the traps.
Any real suggestions are most appreciated.
