It's highly unlikely we'll see the Camaro by the end of this year. A few weeks early, perhaps, but not THAT early.
The 'LS2 Camaro' won't be able to go any speed. The LS2 won't be in production when the Camaro finally comes out, so there won't be an 'LS2 Camaro'. Or so I hear. |

If the rumor is true, and there is going to be a whole new designation all together then I think we will all be in for a suprise! I mean, the LS engines are amazing engines to begin with, and if they are able to one-up it with a new architecture that is even better... well..... |

New engines altogether. We have never seen or heard of the engines going into the Camaro. And, so far, all the info I've "heard" on engines (regular V6 to hi po V6 to save on insuance) has been heard before GM released it and been true. So, I take it for fact that we haven't seen the new engines going in the 'Maro. This will be quite a suprise for all of us!

The concept Camaro does have a 400 horse LS2 engine w/ fuel displacement on demand technology. There will be a Camaro released like it, but not identical to it. I would bet money on it that there will be a Camaro w/ very similar hp #'s, but won't have the LS2 in it. GM is leading the automotive world when it comes to engines (at least IMO). You are going to be seeing a lot come from GM over the next 5 years in the way of engines. GM will not build a new Camaro to put old news under the hood.
