I've gone from the 3.27's to 4.10's to 3.45's and my shifting has remained the same throughout. Problem free.

More than likely it's the engine tune throwing off the tranny tune. Load tables really affect the tranny torque tables.

flomo, why do you think you want the 3.45 over the 3.70?

One word - Traction... On the street (with the NT05 315's) I can't get any further than 1/3rd throttle and she starts to breaks loose. 60-punch, she breaks loose.
Now that being said - My last trip to the shop we also added all the Pfadt stuff - Adjustable coil-overs, Upper & Lower Arms and bushings, Diff Bushings, Sub Frame Bushings and Front & Rear Sway bars. I have not tried setting up the coil-overs for track yet because of the Trans issues. I also changed out the torque converter for one that is a little tighter. 3200 stall was just WAY too loose. If I can hook with the added Pfadt parts + 17" Slicks (if needed), I may keep the 3.70's - like I say - the jury is still out until I can get to the track to see what happens.

Interesting. I have the same problem. Feels like a flare from second going into third. RPM's shoot up then it catches the gear. Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure if you're using SCT, or HP Tuners you have to stick to that same software to fix the problem. I'm HP tuned so I couldn't use an SCT tuner to look into it for me without having to start from scratch with another software.

I'm SCT tuned since day 1. Over 200 dyno runs, 75 1/4 passes (50 being in the 10's), and blown for almost two years and I have never had one trans issue. Not one. The SCT allows for more tranny tuning from what I've learned. Right Jas!

Posted on the 21st or thursday...So that leaves friday to look at it....ADM (Andy) has a new born that goes in every 2 weeks(2 weeks old) for evaluation,My current time is limited due to many variables unknown by this forum. Flomo knows my schedule right now!
I have been working(Not alot due to little time lately) with Mike on this little problem prior to my daughter being born(Born on the 4th of april),I have to resolve it to be mechanical.I have an extra transmission I will be testing in this car to see if it takes care of the problem.Yes we may even put Flomos trans in another car for evaluation as well. Mikes trans has been to a couple different companys for building and there could be a conflict(On mods done) in this particular trans...I dont know...I did not build it....Not my forte! The New Test Trans coming is 100 percent stock(Includes no valvebody changes ,springs, balls, regulators etc)It was pulled out of a perfectly good car that had over 100 passes down the 1/4 mile.It was disassembled and checked....everything looked acceptable to Rodney and crew at RPM,Rodney recommended just putting new clutches in it and nothing more...Valvebody is 100 percent stock. The trans should be here this week and I will install it for evaluation. I have gone over the tune countless times....even today for several hours, after reading this post and listening to my voicemails on EASTER SUNDAY! This problem will be repaired at ADM Performance,Ted has already agreed not to step on my toes on this one....He called me to to tell me about this thread. |

I don't think he was pointing you out, just explaining the situation. Hopefully I can give you an update next week.
