My 20985421 for my 2010 got delivered today...I'll be installing it myself this weekend. No time to tear the console apart between now and then, have to tune a different 2010 (a 2SS M6 that just got cammed) and a Dmax truck...both this week after work.

Dude- seriously- if you can't do the swap in 30 minutes including taking a dump and drinking a beer, you're doing something really wrong. Trust me when I tell you it's not that involved and no real big deal. Find the time and get it done.

Dude, seriously, I can do it in a half hour...maybe even less...this isn't my first rodeo, so like I said, I'll do it saturday, why even post something like this??? That said, I have far more important things to do, like tonight I'm going to the Bruins game, directly from work, and tomorrow I'm tuning a nicely modded Duramax truck, and then friday after work, a 2010 SS with a healthy cam, long tubes, intake and so on so that he can drive his car again...leave me alone.

...that and the car works without it...I just can't get all of my thumb drives to talk to it...no big deal for a few more days.

I think you took his post to literally and personally, I don't believe he was trying to be critical or anything. It's his way of encouraging you, not to bager you.

You gotta admit, it does sound condescending...

It does, at first glance, but when you see the added lines of humor about the beer and ... other things, then he ends it with a that means it's not meant to be taking seriously (the condescending part anyway).

At least that's how I read it.

That must be the new "latest and greatest" version.

Congratulations.

My March 2011 car has DB/DB. Anyone know what the revisions to DD are? I've had this thing two weeks and it's already out of date? sheesh.

I don't know what the differences are, but DB/DB seems to do everything they advertise. If yours is working O.K., then in the immortal words of Bob Marley, "don't worry, be happy."

Yeah i'm happy with it for sure! It only indexes the first time i plug in the USB drive. When i restart the car, it remembers the last song i was playing and doesn't have to re-index like i was worried about. I haven't tried 10,000 songs yet.

Smile

I have the DB/DB and about every 5 start ups or so it re-indexes. It is starting to get irritating.
