Rick Hendricks 2012 ZL1 009 on ebay

Looks like an autographed Rick Hendricks 2012 ZL1 S/N 009 first production day one car is worth 72k. May not be a bad investment if you want a garage queen. Must need the space for the new Z28.

What exactly makes this worth 10~10k above retail? Fact that he owned and drove it (3300 miles)? I'm just asking what might make this worth more than say #00010 or #00100? I might understand if it were #0001, but I see no real "rarity" other than him signing it. Heck I bet I could get him to sign #159 if asked. What do you think?

I do not think that car will be worth a half of a million. What about number 8,7,15 20? Where would it stop? I could see where number 1 would be worth the big bucks and maybe number 2 but after that it is just another ZL1.

I have #167 no intention of selling it, but 10k may look big today but Ricks car in the same condition will likely bring the difference their asking today in the future. I doubt it will ever be a 500k car like the listing suggests.

Look all this is is a ZL1 that he owned ,and then signed for the second person, that it was sold to,and i would almost be willing to bet that it was sold through one of his dealers to a customer,on the show room floor...

There is nothing at all that makes this car worth more than any other car, heck even jeff gordons 24 car that won 4 races sold for around 100k not too long ago,so all this is is someone trying to fool someone with more money than sense,period..Or taking advance of some poor buyer on line that thinks that every car that some big shot owned at one time is some how worth more money...

OH those cars that sell for 200k to 500k are only sold that high because the buyer can write off the amount as charity, otherwise trust me,there is no way in heck that they would sell for that much...

If this was #1 and it had 1 mile on it,and it was titled As a GM car then it will be worth big money 20 yrs from now,but the first convertible ZL1 made is going to be worth big money and that is something to take to the bank...verts always do sell for more...

NOW there is one way that this car could be worth this much,is if it was being sold by him,and picked up at his house, and included a season pit pass on the pit box,as well as time spent with his drivers, otherwise its just a ZL1,period !!!!!

Do you guys mean to tell me that if he farted in the drivers seat you would not pay this much for his used car? For Shame!

This just a ZL1 bought from his dealership. If I remember right he bought #1 and #69 for himself. #9 is no big deal.

Hope the current owner wasn't duped into thinking it was some sort of special car. Sure, it may be a little something if Rick Hendrick signed it, but thinking the value would somehow be $500K or so someday...

if that were indeed the case, why sell it for so "cheap?" Even if it were worth 150K one day, that would be an excellent investment opportunity, considering you could spend 50K in upkeep for whatever amount of time and STILL make money. Nobody knows the future of the value of #9. Especially the current owner. Fail. It's just a nice, used ZL1. Sorry.

I started off reading this thread thinking you guys were being kind of harsh. But after I looked the ebay ad itself, I completely agree. This is a lame representation of a so called collector car.

He really needs to work on his marketing skills. And rule #1 is, price it right.
