Pfadt lowering springs - after install question

I completed my Pfadt lowering springs install. I did the installation myself without any hiccups and got a 4 wheel alignment at my dealer, but I have a question for others who have done this install.

I seem to have a .25" gap between the top of the strut tower and the bottom of the upper strut retainer. The gap is identical on both towers. Is this normal? I believe I followed the install directions exactly: bump stops were trimmed by 1", all torqued to spec, etc.

The car looks fantastic and handles much better with the Pfadt springs than the stock setup.

That is common even on the stock springs.

Strange, My first thought is to monkey the spring perch retaining nut and/or the retainer nut.

Whew. I thought I might have inverted the spring perch or something. I was already a few beers into the job before I had the car up on the stands.

Honestly, the new setup is excellent. I highly recommend the Pfadt products.
