Breaking the rules...
I have tried so hard to abide by the 1500 mile break in period. I am currently at 500 miles and as I was taking a little stroll today I saw an open road. I had no choice but to open it up and immediately was pinned back to my seat. It has far surpassed my greatest expectation.
Now back to following the rules. I am just curious if anyone else has come across the same thing. Last edited by mrwmaw; 07-03-2012 at 09:01 PM. |

HAHA nice! I'm at 940 and it comes across my mind every single time I see open road. So far I've been good, but it's very very tempting.

Rules are made to be broken. I've been pretty good up to my current 1100 miles. I have a hard time finding a place to break the rules safely and without LEO crashing the party unless I go to my test area that's 20 miles away or the track.

I wonder how much the rules exist to just make you aware of the car and how it handles at the lower limits before you push it and it gets away from you.

From what i have been told its the rear end that they are concerned about making sure it gets broke in proper.

I have been as good as possible (currently 900 mi.)..until Last weekend at Watkins Glen with Upstate C5 members. We were able to do 3 laps on the track and I let it rip on the main straight! Wow, I love it. I will be good from now until 1500 and change fluids.
