MORE **HUGE** bad news :>(

My mechanic friend just called me. We are trying to install a red Magnuson supercharger on my 2013 1LE. The instruction booklet says 2010-2013 camaro but that's BULLSH^T because my 2013 has the electronic steering so the pulley's are different and the belt is a good 3" to big. I have to find the part number for the proper Gates belt. In my other post I asked for help with torquing the crankshaft bolt, but we could use the stock bolt to get me home until we get the tool to help us. Now we can't even move my camaro. Nickey has the same 1LE and same supercharger so I hope they can help me. This has been a nightmare and the supercharger better be worth it

So your only problem is the belt being to long? Just go down to Napa and get the right belt.

I suspect a fouled plug will warrant caps lock.

Maybe I was a bit over the top, but it just seems like we have one problem after another putting this supercharger on my 1LE. And when Magnuson claims the unit is for a 2013 Camaro, they are 90% correct. And we are both working nights this weekend so I would like things done and my car back home so I'm not worrying about it instead of sleeping during the day. And my mechanic friend has a car to do on Monday that he will have to leave outside to work on if we can't get our hands on the correct belt. It isn't life threatening, but just a huge pile of sh*t dumped at once.

I expected some glitches along the way, but I hoped we would be done by the end of the second day so I could relax today (Friday) before going in to work.

Wow...that car could be down for months !

Seriously? Just go to any big auto parts. Buy a belt the size you think you need, and also buy the next 2 sizes bigger and smaller. This way you won't run back and forth to the store. Just return the ones you don't use.

I hope everything works out, yes the kit may be for a normal 2013 Camaro, but your car is a 1LE, several differences. Be prepared for small issues, driving and mechanically. Going FI is not for everyone, expect to "tinker" with it to keep it running strong. Do not freak out everytime something farts or stumbles, its part of going FI. If you have small problems that freak you out, reconsider FI..

Keep a couple spares in the trunk and a 15mm socket. I would really hate to see how mad you'll get if a belt snaps. OMG

Guess you don't belong in "the mod club".

Mod Rules #1: Change 1 part and 3 others need to be adjusted/modded/changed out.

I started building parts for my Camaro because I no longer can purchase what I need.. since there is so little stock Camaro left.

And you complain about a belt being incorrect for your application.. jeez.
