How the heck do you install a RX Catch Can on a L99

I am either super stupid or these are the worse instructions in the world. Could be a little of both.

That and mounting it like the say the valves face the front of the car not towards the firewall like the instructions show.

The line running from the drivers side rear valve cover needs to be cut where it starts to curve in a circle to connect to the pass side of the intake manifold snout. Then press the release tab on the section remaining that connets to the intake snout. The center fitting on the can connects to the drivers side valve cover (just slip the included hose over the hard line where you cut it) and the outer fitting on the can connects to the nipple on the intake manifold snout where you remove the OEM connector. I just updated the instructions .

The valves can swivel to any direction you desire. The outer valve is threaded in so rotate it counter clockwise to change the direction.

So you have the VaraRam that the RX catch can fit in the, as designed, mounting location?

Ok got it all installed. Thanks guys for the help and telling me that valve would turn. It took some pliers to get that baby to turn counter clock wise but got it on.

I took some Q-Tips and put them inside the tube I cut out and nice and black crap covered the Q-Tip. So I hope this will help the Bee Bee out in her never ending pursuit of eating tires and other such things

Not without modification - I still need to bend the RX catch can bracket a little bit. I installed the VaraRam, but I haven't put the long bolts on to hold the radiator firm yet, because it hits the catch can. The radiator needs to come back a little more and I plan to bend the RX bracket towards the passenger side to see if can get the clearance needed. I will post pictures when it's complete.

I think the RX Catch can and the VaraRam are two great mods!!!

Thanks Allen. I have both the RX (not installed yet) and VR (installed) as well. However, I've been running a different catch can and it wouldn't fit with the VR so I didn't even try the RX. This weekend I should finish up my alternate mounting setup for the RX.

You don't need to use the long bolts. Here is my modificaton. Used L brackets in the stock bolt location. Second pic is the L bracket dipped in Plasti Dip.

By using the L brackets it keeps the Vararam in place and in turn it supports the radiator. Mine is solid as a rock and it gives it a nice clean look. Just presenting you with another option.
