Me too, at first thought about removing the stripes, but looked kinda plain to me without them.

The 2006 had a saleen supercharger on it pushing 13 psi. boost, but with drag suspension on it, it starting to get less and less street friendly.
It was time for a change.

yeah the saleen is on the extream end of things i know but still its a rare car and damn nice

Exactly. Makes one wonder if they (the dealer) even looked in the service manual. The replacement procedure and diagnostics are in the service manual under

- Communication Interface Module Battery Replacement


Have you done anything recently with the car's main battery or OnStar fuses?

If the main battery goes dead or is disconnected while the key is on - it will trigger the OnStar module to kick on use of the back up battery. It's a one time use lithium battery that will drain in 5 minutes and not recharge.

No Nothing has went dead. Car has 1,200 miles on it.

The OnStar backup battery is located on the right side of the dash, above where the Glove Box is (it barried way up in there) and to the right of the OnStar Module. It is retangular in shape.
