I have zero ability in this field, but has anyone put any thought into instead of reprogramming the pcm and voiding the warranty instead making a box that goes between the pcm and the sensors etc. to override the stock programming but yet send info to the pcm to make it think it's running normal. I'm assuming most tuners figure you'll just say screw the warranty and reprogram it due to lower cost, but I think a place like hypertech would be able to pull something together. I think preserving the warranty would be a big selling point. Your thoughts?

Yeah this has been done with some other models I know of. Its a piggy back box that does alter what the ECU sees. Dont know if anyone will do this but it has been done before.
