I don't understand do you not want to use 2SSRS harness there is no need to reinvent the wheel all is up and running with his harness just get the parts and install

Here is a picture of hud and how it mounts in dash. mounts from under dash. so thats what makes it difficult. to bad it doesn't drop straight in from the top with mount bolts.

<a href="http://s529.photobucket.com/albums/d...munderdash.gif" target="_blank"><img src="http://i529.photobucket.com/albums/d...munderdash.gif" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

Is there enough clearance under the dash without taking it off? because if it could be installed like this without having to pull gauges out or remove the dash this would be soo much easier.

The harness uses the correct fuse (F13 Display) of the Instrument Panel Fuse Block?

Agreed! I had a 1997 Bonneville fully loaded and it had the hud. It was amazing, something I got used to quite quickly. Props to all who are tackling this retrofit hud project. "whatevah" to the naysayers!

If you have the Right docs from GM, you can see the Gage wire's you need, So all of you know all the new wire's used in this car are MM size

Hi, ABL connectors on the Dash ended at the VIN 9160000 mark but GM did not have it working on the DASH at any time, Only in the door was the ABL working.

I'm very interested in the HUD. Has any one put it in the dash yet?
I see that it works sitting on the dash board but is the air ducting the same as the 2011
Would love to have this in my car

Yes that's right.

Good luck, the connectors are hard to find and i have all the ones in the US that where at distributes, So that lets you order the connectors from GM which you can do and pay more then i will sale the harness for.

I thought you were not posting because you were busy working on your car.
You were busy, just not on the car. I can wait. Take your time and do it right.

Here is how you know the wire size, note it's (.35 is most of the car) .5 or.8 or 1 and that is all in MM size.

It's nice to know the wire size of your harness is correct. Nice job, Sounds like you did your homework. Have to be careful out here. never know what your buying with hand built harness. Have to make sure it's save for the vehicle and the longevity of the Hud sys. Were you able to get the right crimping tools from Delphi? if not I may be able to help.
