Kumho Ecsta PS91

Anyone try these tires? The tread looks almost identical to the MPSS and come in popular sizes. Not many reviews but the few i found all were very positive. One guy on a forum gave a good review after changing from the PSS's.

There is more to a tire than just tread pattern FYI. But I have heard nothing about this brand or tire before.

How to hug your camaro
Buy the car that you would most like to get beat in. The other guy will always be faster.

I know there is more to a tire than the tread, it was just an observation. The kumho brand is about equal to nitto. Check out tirerack.com for some reviews of their tires if you want to know more about the brand. This isn't a money thing, I would get MPSS but they don't have a 275/40-20. I could get the 275/35 but as my car is already lowered I don't want a smaller diameter tire. Continental DW and invo are other options and they are around the same price point.

In a 275/40/20 size those tires come with 7.8/32 for tread depth. The PZeros come with 10/32 or so. Seems odd how they wouldn't have more tread depth, price is nice though at 178 a tire

Yes, most tires in that size seem to be 10/32. I also noticed that the Ecsta V720 tire is being used on the 2016 Viper. These PS91's are new here in the USA but seem to have been in Australia for a little while. Good reviews on them from there that i found.

I actually ordered these from TireRack a couple weeks ago for my 1LE (295/35/ZR20) to replace the worn out original Goodyears. Still waiting on them to ship, but I will update after they arrive and I get them mounted.

Kumho's have been around for quite a while. They are a decent tire, nothing special....

Not true. Maybe Kumho tires you have had in the past were only decent. This is a new tire and the latest and greatest technology. This tire will have close to Michelin PSS dry traction. They are not as good as the PSS in the wet but they are much less expensive.

If you're looking for a budget alternative to PZero's/PSS I would highly recommend them.

We have not tested them yet. It's not warm enough here in Indiana to test summer tires yet. Please post a review of what you think.

Looking forward to the review. Also will be interesting to see how long they last with less tread depth but a better wear rating than the PZeros (260 for the Kumho and 220 for the PZero) so it's not a crazy better rating but if they last 20k miles I would definitely consider them
