I think the sunroof is nice on the Camaro, it gives you a brighter inside and a more comfortable open feeling.

I agree. When I test drove, I found the interior dark and claustrophobic, but when I opened the sunroof it was a substantial improvement.

Plus, I'm in California where I could open it up 90% of the time.

So I ordered one.

The same sunroof is on the Camaro, so, I say
I really hate to tell you this, but if your sunroof flips up and slides outside the car like the camaro, you are not driving a 2004 VW Passat. If it does in fact slide outside, then it was installed aftermarket and certainly not a fault of VW. Don't get me wrong the factory one is loud but it slides under the roof.

How about USB ports and "ambient lighting"?

If you mean the battery cable problem, there is a temporary fix that GM is authorizing if the dealer can't get the parts in. Ask to see the full TSB on the problem and it will say how to fix it temporarily.

That way you can drive the car until they get the parts in and the dealer won't be using it as a show room jewel.

I have read the TSB and the parts manager has told me to my face he can't even get the tape in until May 28th. I do know he is full of it. I called customer service to complain. Waiting on them to hopefully remedy this.

Congrats on the buy.

Was your order for a SIM 2LT/RS w/ Sunroof? Is the sunroof the only difference from your order to the car you bought? If so, i dont see you missing it too much.
