K I have a weird problem with my 2ss

Dont know what the heck happened but i have a 2ss, fully loaded, RS package everything and yet, I dont have a switch to turn on my fog lights? In the manual it says you have to push the light switch button and it turns on the foglight, but you cant push mine and it doesnt have the little logo on it for the fog lights. I have fog lights, but no button to turn them on

They are the Daytime running lights (since you have the RS Package) They come on automatically when you start the car if your light switch is in the AUTO position.

There is NO switch, as stated, IF you have the RS package, their are NO FOGS, they are DRL's and come on when you start your car. when your headlights come on, in either auto or manual, the DRL's go off.

So the lights only come for 2 seconds then they go off? Thats kind of stupid

I wish the turn signals on the front were the DRL's.

No...they're your DRLs. They stay on while you're driving in daylight, then shut off automatically when your car detects low light conditions and turns on your headlights.

Seems stupid, should have just left them as fog lights.

Yeah, I didn't like it either, however someone mentioned that they overrided the signal so that they were all on. The combination of the two turned out to be butt-ugly (2 different types/colors of lamps). So, I think it's a good thing that we don't have both on.

I supposed someone could photoshop something to show you...

I don't like how DRL look on any car and usually turn them off. Is a driver really not going to notice a car, but notice a light in the daytime?

Ah well, I guess some statistic somewhere shows it to be safer..link, anyone?

Yeah..you are probably right....I'm sure there weren't exhaustive studies about the effectiveness of DRLs before they were made standard on all GM vehicles.

I think the DRLs look kind of cool during the day with the RS package, and the HID lights at night are by far the brightest headlights I've ever seen....there is no need for foglights because there is no dark area in close to the car and the peripheral light is excellent.

The High Beams should just be marked "Daylight-ON" because they are really impressive.
