For those that don't follow Grand Am, #88 Autohaus Motorsports Camaro GT.R is currently in 1st place in overall points in Rolex GT. The #7 Banner Racing Camaro GT.R is in second place in overall points. #57 Stevenson Motorsports Camaro GT.R sits on the pole in Mid-Ohio, Banner in 3rd and Autohaus is sitting in 9th to start.

Currently, Autohaus leads the series with 294 points, Brumos Porsche is in 2nd with 291. Speedsource's #70 Mazda RX-8 sits in 3rd with 289 points with #94 Turners BMW, #44 Magnus Racings Porsche GT3 and #41 Demshey Racings RX-8 sits in 4th, 5th and 6th with 279, 277 and 276 points.

This could be the Camaro's first road racing championship... this race will be aired LIVE on SPEED...

Edit : Apologies, I originally posted than Banner Motorsports was in 2nd place overall in points and that is not the case. The #11 Brumos Porsche is in 2nd place while Banner Motorsports is currently in 9th with 263 points. Again, apologies for the error. Banner is currently in 3rd place in at Mid-Ohio, Stevensons is in 1st, Autohaus (1st place overall) is in 9th. Only 10 minutes into the race.

Bill Lester in the #88 Autohaus Camaro has spin out and has made contact with the barriers. The points leader has fallen back to 18th place. Stevenson and Banner Camaros in 1st and 2nd.

Jordan Taylor replaces Bill Lester in the #88 Autohaus Camaro, currently 17th place. The #59 Brumos Porsche GT3 driven by Andrew Davis is currently in the lead and coming into this race, was 3 points behind the Autohaus Camaro.

The Autohaus Camaro was experiencing severe difficultly with handling and control which ultimately caused them to spin with no contact from other competitors.

This year's grand am racing program was absolutely awesome! Next year audi will run a team and Bondurant is probably going to run Corvettes. In my opinion, this type of racing is what it's all about! Congrats to Chevrolet and all the teams that competed!
