2.9 whipple question

I'm sort of new to everything but i was wondering how much of a hp increase would i see by adding 2.9 whipple supercharger to a stock automatic v6 2011. What are the negatives to having a supercharger. How safe is it to have one like could i potentially destroy my engin? Also would it beat a stock v8 camaro?

I don't think you can add the 2.9 Whipple to a V6. Those are for V8 applications. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

V8's only. As far as FI for the v6. I have seen some recent threads about a supercharger being developed for the v6 but I think it was mostly smoke and mirrors.

Hard to really say. I like the looks of the one Tracy and Gretchen have put together. If I hadn't already gone nitrous, longtubes and some other mods that aren't turbo friendly I would probably be all over it. IPS also has a twin they're finishing up(would really love to see pictures). Adkins has a single that is a good sized one that they're finishing up on both a manual and auto. They're not quite complete yet, either. They're hoping to do a piggyback tune module. They're also planning out a supercharger when they get the turbos done. There's also the STS and Z should be able to give you some insight. He's been running it for about a year now. And then there's PTKilla who has been on a quest to fab up his own. He started with a supercharger, then a twin turbo, and now he's on a remote single. He seems to have his head going in the right directions and Tracy(sc2150) I believe has helped answer questions for him along the way.
