I say that if a car has 8 lbs/hp (or less) then the first set of rear tires should replaced for free. Afterall, it should be expected that they might wear out a little early as you are 'learning' the car ... right?

The first two sets would be fair.

I don't think you'll get anyone to disagree with you there except for the beancounters.

No 2013 pricing for the 1LE. With some modifications in could turn into a Z.

If there is a Z in the 5th Gen future, the SS 1LE seems like a good starting point.

Nope. I need all the shiny stuff. So more like $53K. I would only get about $27K on a trade for my 2SS and I owe $22K. Once you add taxes and tags I will be borrowing $50K. My payment will go from $600 to $900 a month and I will have two more extra years of payments.

If I put a cam and gears on my current SS I am sure I would not have hide from a stock LS7 Z28 at the track or the drags. That would be about $4K. Much cheaper.

But no 427 magic. :sigh:

What if it doesn't come out for another 1.5 years, by then your trade equity will have increased and you could start a "Z" fund that could lower what you will be borrowing, thus putting you in an affordable payment zone...just a suggestion.

Haha. I'm leaning towards a 1LE but know that when I finally break down and buy one they will release the Z28.

I think, even though the clock continues to tick on Gen-5, that a hyper-performance 1LE-derived "CEO" (aka Z/28) would be a suitable send-off. Kinda like the Vette LS7 Convertible is for C6s.

Like the newspapers...FINAL EDITION!

Remember, this is, so far, the ONLY Generation Camaro without such a named version...

Devils advocate, it's a lot easier to put an LS7 in a car that it's already in. You're right though, no better way to end gen5. And if it's already in the works, we could enjoy 2 or more full model years of Z28.

Well see the problem is the ZL1 isnt what I want. I'd rather have a Z28.
