Ive made the very difficult Decision

too postpone my camaro love. I was supposed to get one around december but i have now come to an offer i cant refuse. Insted of driving a POS for 10 months i have the oppertunity to lease a new VW CC theyre very nice cars and i have found a deal that cant be beat as were all crunched for money right now and the camaros payments wouldve been atleast 400 lease (1LT/RS/auto) not mentioning how high my insurance would be since im only 17. With the CC im gonna be paying 279 with only a 1000 down and remember their German Engineering, itll be a short 2.5-3 year lease in 2-3 years when my CC is over i hope to step up to a fully loaded 2LT or maybe even take the leap to an SS. Hope you dont flame me too much

PS: Here are some pics of the CC its a Beautiful car

not too shabby. I like the huge screen, and the rest of the interior doens't look bad at all. Grats on your purchase.

Not to harp, but shouldn't this be in the "other cars" section though?

A tick over 13.0 sec. and you're through the quarter-mile. It's a rush, of course, but not overly dramatic. Try the same thing with this pair's predecessors of 1970 or so and you'll find yourself in a bit of a wrestling match. Ain't progress wonderful? Maybe yes, and maybe sometimes it's fun to wrestle."

Sorry you're gonna miss out on the Camaro action for a couple years. But just think of the options you'll be able to get with it then!!!

Not too bad. Would have liked to see you lease American though. Considering.
VW is pretty good. Could pick up a used SS by then. Watch those miles.

IMO Leasing a car unless you are a business is a poor choice no matter WHAT brand it is.

He's 17 for pete's sake, don't lease a damn car that is stupid.
If you are paying for the lease and still filling as a dependent under your parents taxes you don't even get any of that money back in tax returns.
Leasing a car for 2-3 years at $279.00 is between $7,696 or 11,044 with your $1000 deposit completely wasted.

I know you don't think you can bare to drive a piece of junk but seriously you haven't been driving long enough or working long enough to buy anything else and honestly you can get some pretty decent cars for 1500 bucks these days. You don't need a brand spanking new car to park in your higshchool parking lot for other dumbasses to open their doors into, beg you to drive, and generally make you a nervous wreck everytime you leave it. I am 25 and still driving the same old beat up pick up that I drove in highschool to work everyday. Your toys are for nice days and times when you can enjoy them.

I have no problem with a 17 year old driving a nice car, but seriously take my advice here and learn from others mistakes...don't lease a freaking car. Either buy what you can afford now and save the money or just go ahead and buy the car you want. Even if you wait 1 year you will have 4338 with your deposit...that means you will have that much to put down on a used or new car a year from now that you will own.

rob, I've been shopping this car for my wife and I can tell you that it is a very nice car and for a front wheel drive car it sticks to the road well. I would suggest two things though. First, if you go with the CC step up to the luxary package. Its a little bit more, but the seat material is a billion times nicer. Second, if you are really in love with the camaro...wait. As said above, dont waste the money on a lease when you can save that towards a new (or slightly used) camaro. It might seem like forever, but the wait will make it that much sweeter.
