HELP! Need to find better axles

First off, I didn't know where else this thread would belong. I am going to be running a LSX 454 putting out 700 horse, a whipple W175ff w/ 15 lbs of boost, & an aftermarket exhaust system, no mufflers, resonators, or catts, & the Boost Cooler System from Snow Performance, & when everything's said and done, I'm going to be making at least 2,000 horse and will have the 9 inch rear end conversion kit from the Driveshaft shop. My problem is I don't know if I'll be fine or if I'll be breaking the axles every time I go & race I'll be busting my axles. Will I be fine or will I be needing to find new axles? If so, who to go with?

G-Force make some good strong axles, and they have a lifetime guarantee. They are great people to deal with too...

G Force and Driveshaft Shop are only two places I have heard of and neither make a 2000HP set.

The only thing I can think of stronger than that is to back half it and put a solid axle in there and a big one at that.

i use geforce because of the lifetime warranty but i think there lv 5 axles are only rated to 1500hp at the wheels. if you are pushing more then that to the tires you might have to consider a solid axle conversion. i would give them a call and see what they have to say.

Aight thanks for that, also forgot to mention if it matters that I'm going to be putting on my Camaro sub-frame connectors from Granetelli motorsports, aftermarket motor mounts from BMR Suspension, new bushings therefrom, new trailing arms, control arms, and tie rods (all in the rear) to further improve handling. So in theory I'll only be losing around 400 horse from the crank to the rear, and I re-did my numbers and it's more like 2,400 horse.

If you're at that level then why not have a solid 9"axle put in? The IRS is on borrowed time at 2K HP no matter the upgrade.

when you want axles that perform like the Atomic Fusion vette and the American racing Header Camaro look at the DSS parts, in more high end cars that do real number. Proven to take the abuse.

The 454 isn't the best choice if your going to boost

I have the Gforce rig, good to 1500
You will spend less for a straight axle and hook much better, trust me, I know.
The car will struggle at 500 rwhp, 2000? Forget it
The problem with your 454 is the 4.185 bore
The space between bores isn't wide enough for a gasket to hold that HP
If you are serious, look at a RHS tall deck
Long stroke, smaller bore
Consensus is 4.125 is ok

So then if the IRS is on borrowed time with that much power, would a solid 14-bolt axle handle that much power? If so, how do you do the conversion from multi-link IRS to a solid axle?

You know what is the scary part of this future build though. It's not the amount of money I'm gonna be spending on it, its that this 2k+ horse is gonna be all street legal ('cept for the noise and no catts) and will be used on the street.

Unless your a fabrication badass, you're not doing it on your own. You can go with a kit or find a really great fabrication shop, generally not the same place that builds your motor.
