Being "first" at your ordering dealership paid off - placing an order in October does not (escpecially if your 3rd, 4th , 5th, etc)
So who is MORENO VALLEY CHEVROLET? And why is GM so FAIR to them?

I guess I should have rephrased that to ...How many that ordered prior to 11/1/08 that were number one priority and had a car allocated for a 2nd week build that still sits at 3000..and.. were told thier build date was pushed back almost a month, while people that ordered after the first of January now have VIN #s??? oh yeah...and with no explanation as to why thier car still sits at 3000 and has been pushed back. I know just ramblin on....blah blah blah... By the way Scotty? do you have any Blue SS's ordered through your dealership?...if so were any of the builds "pushed back"?

I understand how the allocation system has worked for this situation, but in a "fair" system, you would think that the pre-ordered cars from 5 months prior to start of production would be built out first. I was also first at my dealer, but with no explanation of how allocation works prior to that, it's confusing. Also, it could have been mentioned when the Camaro Team told us at Indy that we would be able to go into our dealers and order on the 13th. They could have also added that it wouldn't matter unless you were the first person in line. But, how many of us wouldn't have showed up? I'm betting a lot.

I don't see any difference for the first car at each dealer being built vs the cars being built in order by the time/date submitted. There are many scenarios for this, but let's just face the fact that other than the few dealers that share info on here we aren't gonna get much out of GM. I'm sure there are some anti-trust laws somewhere that are keeping them from spilling some details right now. And when it comes down to it, here's the problem. We are enthusiasts. This is their job. Except for a few, they don't share our WANT and impatience. To them, this is just the normal sequence of things. Many of us have been waiting since 2002, and some just since 2006...........either way, we want things now and aren't willing to accept anything but.

I've been waiting since I saw the concept in 2006. I can do the last part waiting on delivery with my eyes open and no sleep.

They will be here..........when they get here. I hate to hear that too, but it's just how it is.

Give this note to him... I sent to my dealer... see what happens..

If you have a customer who submitted a Camaro order under the Early Ordering Activity and did not receive or found their kit was damaged, let us know using the “contact us” feature on the Camaro channel of Chevylaunch.com. Please include customer‟s name, address, and order number when submitting an inquiry; and remember, it takes approximately 45 days to process a request. The final day to submit an inquiry will be Thursday, April 30, 2009.

I already chimed in on that guy on that thread we don't want to hijack to and, yes, I used TRM0002 as my example.
