Got it to work...apparently with the 2014 you cannot cut the remote (blue) wire on the harness. This will cause the screen to not turn on. I soldered it back up and the screen turned on right away. Left everything else connect as before.

Hey homewrecker, if you need any help let me know.

Hey all, new guy over here...

Just bought a 2012 with non-BA sound system, and my god is it awful sounding.

I've been reading through this and a couple other posts on this forum and decided to do a full sound system upgrade (while leaving the factory head unit, since the bluetooth is all i need) with all Rockford Fosgate Punch series components.

I've already ordered everything I need, but compiled a "wish list" on amazon for everything I've ordered for my build:
http://amzn.com/w/QVUDISW8SQDM

Hope this might help anyone else doing an upgrade.

Essentially my build consists of a 4-channel amp putting out 50 watts to the front and rear speakers, 60 watt front speakers, 75 watt rear speakers, a monoblock 500 watt (4 ohm) amp for subs, and two 250 watt (2 ohm) subs.

All my parts are already ordered, but just wondering if anyone had any comments or suggestions as to the contents of build.

Thank you Jeepguy for this fantastic thread. I finally got around to installing my system and it works just as you said.

The only thing I have an issue with is that you can hear a pop when the amp shuts off. Any way around this?

I also have one rear speaker that rattles just a bit. I have already ensured it is tight but the sound is coming from it internally I believe. Think it's a defective speaker?

I will have a full thread for my install in a few.

Might be that your gains are to high. See posts 88 and 89.

Cool, I brought them down a bit but the pop is still there, albeit a little lower in volume.

Jeepguy was suggesting a resistor. Where would this said resistor be placed? Along the remote amp wire?

Well that sucks. I'd double check the connectors at the head unit and make sure they are snapped in all the way. Maybe the radio fuse?

Installing a powered sub

I would like to know how to install /wire a powered sub woofer into a 2015 Camaro. It is not the BA package. I have the My Link radio and all the stock speakers which I do not plan on changing. I just want to add a powered sub to get more bass out of the stock stereo. I apologize if this question has been asked before.
