I know it sounds silly trying to keep a car forever but mine has a couple things going for it. I recently purchased a commuter car for work the Camaro has been retired to weekends and car shows. Without daily driving everything becomes easier to maintain over the course of time. I don't have to worry about what someone else has done to my car, the maintenance is completely on me. Since I don't drive my Camaro everyday gas prices and mileage don't mean a lot to me. That being the case I think were going to see a performance car fall off as gas gradually raises in price the next 15 years or so. This will help keep my car classic and give me no reason to get rid of it.It also helps that I'm 70% of the way through my payments with four years left on my loan.
