Too old to supercharge?

I am going to put on a mag tvs2300 supercharger on my l99 camaro ss. My question is does it matter how many miles u have on ur camaro before u supercharge. Just don't want to buy new engine and or transmission yet lol. I am running stock. I have exterior mods but stock underneath. I have asked shops and they say its safe no problem but they might be just wanting the sale. Thanks for advice

What mileage are you at? Are you the original owner? Were the miles hard miles? Id say if the engine doesnt have any issues right now, then its probably safe to start modding. Are your intentions to race the car, or do you want to S/C it just to do it? If you plan on racing, have a budget setup incase something does break. Forced induction is hard on an engine. If you're just doing it to do it, then you should have no issues. That blower in stock form, (stock boost, stock h/e, stock i/c) is pretty mild at 7psi. I dont see any issues as long as you keep up with maintenance and dont beat the shit out of it every chance you get....

I am the original owner have about 26000 miles no issues I regular change oil synthetic and always use premium gas. I don't plan on racing. Just want more power. The only other mods I would do is long tubes plus exhaust and cai. I'm not sure how much more maintenance would be involved with supercharger. Thanks for the advice.

I'd supercharge at over 100k miles as long as the engine seemed healthy.

That's good mileage to supercharge.

Ive got a 2002 SS with 20,000 miles on it. I added Kooks long tubes, deleted the cats, and added a Procharger P1SC with 8.5 lbs of boost. Makes 500 rwhp, and is extremely reliable. Don't worry about the age of the motor, these LS based motors are built well, and with the low miles yours has, now is the perfect time to supercharge it!!!!!
