Well, all of the V6 drivers will have huge right arms for spanking mustangs.

Guess I'd better dig out my hand weights - for left arm only!

So you'll be able to spot a manual Camaro driver by their Popeye right arm.

Seriously though its not really hard to put in gear, just not as smooth as expected.
If I can get to try the hurst and its smooth, I'll buy it.

To rate the up-shifts from best to worse
3 - 4
5 - 6
2 - 3
4 - 5 (mostly just a little awkward like a 5 speed)
1 - 2

The clutch is great!

928 miles on mine, it shifts OK. Second to third is the only time I feel a little clunk.

Are you sure you don't mean 1st to 2nd like everyone is reporting? I don't understand why yours would be 2nd to 3rd.

i remeber the 2nd gear synchro was one of the problems they had, that could be why, i know they said something about the 2nd gear synchro not being strong enough.
Mine is clunky to but i havnt driven anything that wasnt clunky, its the smoothest i have ever felt but thats because i have only driven mustangs and other small cars

After re-reading this post I hopped in the car and decided to romp on it a little bit...Some nice revs, pop the clutch and hammer it. The car has no issue with being shifted fast from 1st to 2nd. I did it a few times, all honoring the break-in limit of 4k.

When casually shifting into 2nd, that's where it feels "clunky" or "chunky". Actually when the revs are below 2k it's smooth. Between 2 and 3k is where it feels this way. Run it harder up to 4k and it's slick.

Just my quick take.

Now 600 miles.....the shifter has lost the crunchy feel and works good. You can drive light to light all day in 3rd.

Down shifts to 1st are still a little tight.

this is exactly what i am experiencing with mine....between 2-3k is clunky but 3-4k shift is much smoother...overall i think car likes being pushed a bit...although this explanation did not help out with the police officer the other day!!

!st to second is the only slight clunk I feel when shifting. The rest of the gear pattern is very smooth! Only got 250 miles on it though.

Well I have a M6 in my V6 and I think its fine. First gear is a bit fuzzy but if you give it a little extra juice its fine. I just took delivery about 700 miles ago, and everyday this car gets better. But I am looking to put in some sway bars, just not sure which set. Any one have any ideas.
