Ground effects screw up!! Please Help
Ok so here is this situation: I ordered my 2ss febuary 14 2009, First and foremost my dealer entered my order with hurst on the order and didnt correct the order before the cut off so i didnt get R6P. Ok now car was built 6-10, I received it 7-3, no ground effects or engine cover in sight.
So i spent the next 3-4 months going back and forth with GM customer service, i guess until i bitc$##$d enough that someone sent me a ground effects kit out, and engine cover!! Great!!! Right??? Well i took the Kit to get painted, and finally last weekend went to install. Started with rear just as instructions say, did both sides, went to front and started looking at hardware bag, Camaro base?? WTF??? The sent me a v6 ground effects kit!! So now i have paid to paint the wrong front. And ive called GM 3 times and its gotten me no where. I ordered the car out of state and had courtesy delivery, so there were 0 help in getting me even the wrong kit, so doubt they can help now. Can someone please tell me what to do? I really wanna talk to someone at GM that cares, and doenst just sit at a phone and computer all day and punch a clock. One lady yesterday told me she would not ever be able to call me back until friday! it was Tuesday at 9 Am!!! Help!!! Anyone Please!!! FbodFather!!! CamaroScotty!!! Someone please chime in! |

Sorry to hear about this. Good Luck. Did you pay for the GFX? If so they must get you the correct part and work with you on them sending you the wrong one and you having it painted. IMO

That does suck but once you painted the kit you are on your own.
The sides and rear should still work but the front end would not. Maybe you can just buy a new front end. You should have test fitted the items prior to painting.. |

Sucks that you might have to eat the cost but it could be a blessing in disguise as there are better front kits out there!
I wouldn't let this situation linger on and continue to frustrate and annoy you. While you are stewing, stressing, etc., I don't think anyone at GM shares your pain. Install the rear and sides, they look nice without the front anyway, and drive around until you decide which after-market front you like best. The GM front GFX is more labor intensive to install anyway, compared to the after-market ones. Sell the V6 front. |

I would have tried them out before painting but if I were you I would try and find a buyer, eBay works.
