If anyone is listening....if you build an aftermarket shifter like this, I will buy it!!

If so, it sure would be a hogbite to potential Z-28 owners if GMPP or B&M came out with one before hand. You know, I realize that some things need to be left to the guys who consider themselves part of the elite (Z-28 vs lowly SS owners, ZR-1 vs Z-06 owners, etc...), BUT...GM cannot afford to lose a single sales opportunity if it wants to be here for another 80 years...

That's kind of why I'm glad to see that they offered LT buyers the chance to get the RS package and the big dubs-the things that make the car LOOK mean. SS owners needn't worry - they've still got the HP advantage.

I'm anxious to get my 2SS so I can start modding...I haven't had a car or bike in years that has gotten me so giddy about cars like I was when I was a teenager. Jeez-I might actually start going back to the dragstrip and getting my 7 year old daughter into it too!

I had one in my '69 Chevelle Malibu. It was just one of the 'different' things GM and other manufactures were doing. My buddy's dad had a Chrysler that used push buttons on the dash to shift the auto tranny.

Now I know what he means, it's like what the Million Mile Camaro has. (A 70 SS with over million on it).http://www.superchevy.com/features/c.../photo_06.html
I saw the news that day she got 1,000,000 miles on it and she said that if anyone wanted, she would sell it for $1,000,000. Probably more now.

Some people have chevy tattooed on their body... In all honesty, I don't think it would look good in the current camaro interior. I wouldn't be for them changing the interior around for a shifter, because they'd have a separate interior for the manual... It would be cool to work it in, but I think it's important to not try to make a new version of an old car. People like the camaro design because it meshes the two, but if it was just old, it would look cool, but not as striking... Just my opinion
