I have a suggestion to GM - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Why they don't supply the Camaro with the same engines that they supply the Corvette. like that:-
- camaro z28= corvette c7
-camaro ss= corvette c7 z06
-camaro zl1= camaro zr1

becuz many customers and i am one of them that prefer a 4 seaters american muscle car like the camaro over the corvette.

The Corvette is GMs flagship. They're not going to put those engines in their affordable performance car.

It's always been that way.

cost for one. The LS7 is what 15K....So you would have a 40K plus camaro....Now how many camaros do you think they would sell at that price.....

I sorta agree with the OP except the order. Ya ya back in the day the SS was higher up in the food chain than the z 28, but they already botched that up so roll with it on the 5th gens.

I wish! But as others have said, that would definitely increase the cost of the Camaro by quite a bit.

You're quite intelligent. I'm with you 100%, why not build the LS3 the same way for the Camaro as they do with the vettes? Finally, someone that gets it.
Even if they don't want to use the more expensive heads they could at least use better springs, valves, rockers and pistons so people don't have to take them apart themselves.

Depends on what you mean by quite a bit; Rebuilding an engine because it broke when you punched it, or you want the exta insurance when you put on a supercharger costs a lot more than having some decent internals from the get go. I'd rather pay 3-5k more up front than 15-20k after the fact.

The LS3 in the Camaro and Vette are identical, the Camaro is only 4 hp short of the Vette due to the exhaust layout.

they did, the LS1 & the LT1 engines were in the camaros & the corvettes!!!!!

But they choked them down because who would want to buy a corvette if they could get the same thing in a camaro.
