Lingenfelter 2 Step Questions

Looking to get my car to the track before the winter sets in. I'd like to set up a 2 step but also have some power cut on the shifts (clutch goes in and RPM drops to limit without leaving off of the gas). I was thinking about the LNC-2000 and activating it with their CTAP clutch switch.

Anyone done something like this or used an alternate product for this type of setup?

Merc...did you discuss this with Lingenfelter? It seems like a reasonable setup. Maybe I will call them tomorrow before I order anything.

Waiting for the LNC 200 to arrive. I have the CTAP and tried to use with an MSD 2-step, but the MSD 2-step interfered with the ignition and slowed the car down 7/10 th's.

Understood. I was also looking at the N2MB box. No one chimed in about that, so maybe it isn't too popular on the LS cars.

Correction, I'm waiting for an LNC-003 Dual RPM Launch Controller not an LNC-200.

I was looking at that one also. That appears to be a true 2-step (high and low set point). The LNC-2000 is just one setting, but it has some nice functions for use with nitrous (which I have and may actually use some day).

I did some searching on the web and couldn't find much. Is everyone using MSD? I'm not a big fan of MSD...although my complaints are mostly about their distributors. I've never used a 2-step made by them.

I have the Lingenfelter CTAP but when I hooked up the MSD 2-step it slowed Pumpkin down 7/10 th's. Some how it interferred with the ignition. Once I figured it out and disconected the MSD 2-step, Pumpkin went back to a low 12's car. Would not run faster then 13.0 with the MSD 2-step in the system and a scan showed a misfire on #5.

Jason from Lingenfelter supplied a LNC-003 to test and if it works I'll send them the check.

I have the the 2-step in the system now and it looks to be good. Although I have not supplied the activation signal from the CTAP yet it feels all good. Stay tuned I will be doing it soon and driveway testing it.

Waiting anxiously!! Mine should arrive later this week. Hoping to get my car (VanquisherSS old car) to the strip on the first or second Friday in October. I hope the power cut between shifts helps the stock clutch survive just a little longer.

Merc...I'd love to hear where you mounted the LNC2000 and maybe a picture of the wiring. My stuff arrived yesterday. Hoping to wire it up this weekend.
