2012 ss manual hard to shift

I am having trouble getting into gear and once I am going every gear feels real notchy. drove it Friday and everything was fine. I let it sit over the weekend and and now this. it's been getting cold here so could that be the issue or is this the start of clutch issues? I have noticed my fluid is getting dark. slave cylinder?

These transmissions really need warmed up to perform.

When cold put the car in neutral and let her run for about 5 minutes before taking off. I will let everything warm up and should shift better.

GM has posted many times stating that the transmission needs to come up to temp before "sport shifting".... Pretty much meaning you need to get the trannies nice and warm if you want to get rid of the "notchyness"

it sucks that its my dd and I only live about 2 miles from work. so during the week it never really gets warmed up in the morning. I let it warm up for 10 mins this morning and it felt a little better but now it feels like it doesn't want to go. feels kinda sluggish. is that just the tranny not being warm. it doesn't feel like the clutch is slipping. it's about 60 and rained last night.

How many miles are on it? Mine shifts a lot better now than when it was brand new, though cold weather will affect it.

the first shift into 1st is real hard but if I try a few times it gets easier. but as soon as I shift into another gear and back into 1st it's hard again... this saying is only a mile back and forth to work. a few times I couldn't even get it into any gear. had to push the clutch in and out a few times to get it to go....small slave cylinder and cold fluid probably

Most new manuals I have driven are like this. Some stiffer than others, but should loosen up nice when warmed up. One of the characteristics of modern manuals.

Different fluid can help with the issue, but I would hesitate to do that because it can alter the frictional qualities of the blocker rings and cause grinding. The stiffness is the lesser of evils. Leave it be.
