Black Exhaust Tips

Hey guys/gals just wondering if anyone has pic's of their exhaust tips painted black? Perferably on a black camaro. If so, what type of paint is recommended. I hope I'm posting this in the right thread. Thanks everyone!

I just was talking to a buddy of mine about doing this to my SS. From what I've read with the right prep work and a high-temp flat black automotive paint, it turns out real nice!

Try plasti dip just so you can see if you like the way it looks. If not, peal it off. If you like it, peal it off and paint it the right way.

The insides of mine always seem to be black.

Look up Laditee COW. I cant remember which week it was but it wasn't to long ago. She painted her tips black and they look Awesome. I will be doing this on my R&R being that the Camaro will be in the Garage for the winter...

I have been thinking of doing this on mine as well. Since I got rid of all the other chrome stuff, the tips kind of stick out.

Thanks everyone for pic's/info! Does anyone have a DIY write up on how to do this yourself? I looked in DIY thread and couldn't really find anything. I know you need a paint that withstands high temps, but as far as preparing the surface of the tips ect.
