Who would be interested in a track day in the Midwest?
There has been some talk of a track day once we all get our cars. Who would be interested in a track day in the located in the Midwest, either near Chicago, South Beloit (WI - IL border), or near Indianapolis? I would expect the cost to be approximately $200-250. Scheduling would be about June or July.
Any Thoughts? |

I'd jump on board once I get my Camaro. I wouldnt want to be an embarrassment to the community in my Impreza.

so its for the midwest, but you want it in the northern region....
indy would be a great place, or MT. Vernon, IL. or around St. Louis, MO, or Springfield, IL.

A day at Talledega would be sweet for those around that area.

I am in central Illinois. I just picked 3 tracks I thought were driving distance. And to be clear I was thinking road course, not drag.

That would be a lot of fun. Honestly I've never been to a track (road course) and I'm dying to go to one. I wouldn't have the camaro then but it would still be a lot of fun drooling over everyone elses. Somebody has to promise me a ride though!

I can offer a suggestion. Go to a NASA (National Auto Sports Association) event. The HPDE (High performance drivers education) program is great. Class room instruction and in car instructors. Your car on local road course tracks. Here's the link to the Midwest region http://www.nasamidwest.com/ Check out the upper section of the web site "Season Schedule". Also check out headings "HPDE" and "NASA" on the left side for more info. A lot of safe and fast fun for a reasonable cost, usually $285 - $300 for a two day weekend with class room and in car insturctor included.
