Paintless dent repair

Anyone use this type of service in the past? What were the results, does it really work?

Depends.
Soon after I got my Camaro, I put a dent in the door; Called a PDR guy who came out to my office and completely exorcised that evil looking dent away.
Not long thereafter, my roof was assaulted by a suicide-bent pine cone (one of the young, heavy unopened types), called the same fella, but he was not able to completely banish the rather sharp dents without the possibility of cracking the paint. So, it looked better than it was, but it was not entirely set aright.

I have on a previous car. I had some jackass plow me with a cart in the center of the rear drivers door. The car was an Acura TL Pearl White. Everybody knows blending pearl paint sucks and 9 times out of 10 you can ALWAYS tell at certain light. Anyway, I called a guy locally, he drilled a small hole in the doorjamb and went behind the dent and massaged the metal till it was all out. He plugged the hole then lightly sanded/buffed/waxed the door. I tried finding it in every different light I could and could never see where the dent/scratches were. Hands down, try it before you pay for a complete body repair/paint.....

I'm with the guys above...PDR is the way to go. As long as the dent isn't too deep/sharp/creased, you won't even know the dent was there.

A good PR guy can do some amazing work.

I called the dent doctor and he was able to remove 1/2 inch deep dent on my GXP right on the body crease without it showing. This on a "carbon flash" car too.
The alternative was at least a skim coat and a repaint.

Make sure the PDR guy has years of experience and ask him to see other jobs he has done.

I had hail damage to my car, over 30 hits all over the body. All were able to be removed using PDR. It looks good as new. You will not be disappointed.

Sometimes they have to drill to access the back side of the dented panel. I had a rock ding removed from my hood and you cannot tell there was ever a dent there, I wouldn't use just anybody though make sure you check them out.
