I just wanted to take a few minutes to apologize to Ray@RDS for a post I made to him in this thread.. After reviewing I believe I took his comments the wrong way so I felt it necessary to apologize in the same fashion that I made the smart remarks.. on the same thread and in public.. So Ray@RDS I am sorry if I misunderstood what you were saying and took it the wrong way and I apologize.. I hope you will accept.. Jack(Tigg)

Thanks for the pm and this apology. I Believe we both viewed the situation differently, and I may have come accross a little rough. We get wrapped up in a mod and realy start getting tunnel vision at times. I for one am quilty as charged, thats all. It's all good!

I don't have a spoiler and was on the fence for one, but not anymore. This one is gorgeous and I just need it painted and mounted so it seems like a no brainer for me to get.

That looks really good. I was wondering how it would look without the strips continued onto the actual spoiler but it looks factory and looks good. Beautiful car!

Are there any good deals like this for the GM Blade Spoiler?

How did that work out for you? Im really disappointed about the possible alterations that will have to be made to fit the spoiler properly on my 2SS. Was there any solution to doing it in a more painless way i.e. not drilling a bunch of holes in your existing trunk? Thanks. I hope GM maybe updates the spoiler in a way that it can be an option for us who can't afford a ZL1 but want some of the accessories.

You have three holes in the SS deck lid that are not usable and will show under the taillight, two bolt holes and one plastic alignment hole. So either fill them and paint or plug with rubber or plastic plugs. Then drill three holes for two mounting bolts and the wire to the taillight. OR, you could remove the two inner bolts from the ZL1 spoiler with a cutoff tool and mount with the four remaining bolts that will line up with your SS deck lid and drill one hole for the wire. FYI, while the deck was off my car I filled the two bow tie holes at the same time and repainted. So, I filled five holes and drilled three. Hope this helps and good luck.

I hate the idea of drilling and filling on anything but a woman. Doing that to my car with its irreplaceable paint, hell no. :(

My bigger concern is hooking up the brake light! I got an LT so I could make the mods myself, and LOVE this spoiler, but always get a little leary about doing lighting myself...
