Bolt on question

I know this is a basic question, but I'm really new to this modding game. What exactly do you mean by bolt ons?

Bolt-Ons include items like cold air intakes, headers, exhausts, etc.. basically any performance mod you could "bolt-on" would be considered a bolt-on.

Anything that bolts on to the engine. Cold air intake, headers, exhaust, underdrive pulley, intake, throttle body etc...

Cams are not bolt on. Thats an internal mod.

Bolt Ons can mean lots of different things depending in who you are talking to. As far as Camaro5 classification for fast list, bolt Ons is defined as anything that you can bolt on without breaking the seals of the engine or without adding a power adder of any kind. So things like TQ converter, gears, wheels tires, along with your typical headers, Cai, PTB, UDP, stat, exhaust, etc...

To me if it does not involve important fluids, it's a bolt on.

If you have to open up the engine and/or drain fluids to install it then it isn't a bolt on (cam, supercharger, turbos, head work, gear swap, etc.). Things like exhaust (headers to tips), cold air intake, throttle body replacement or porting, cosmetic work are all "bolt ons".
