1 5/8" or 1 3/4" primaries headers???
What is the correct size to get for the 2010 V6, 1 5/8" or 1 3/4" primaries headers???
Thanks |

Have to see the numbers and how you would drive it.
I would think the smaller dia. would give more tq than the larger at lower RPMs. The larger pipes would perform better (horsepower) at high RPMs. Again, that is just me comparing what I can recall from other headers. |

Your choice should be determined by what your "future" goals will be. Decide what you believe you will potentially do with you car and how the actual diameter affects the potential outcome.

Drag Race: Well if you plan to go CAI/Headers ONLY (No real future plans beyond these upgrades anytime soon) I would get the smaller diameter for more torque which helps move our stuck pig sized 2010 Camaro's.

i went with 1 5/8's
they arrive today (hopefully). so I'll let you know how I like them. really need a tune to unlock her after the headers. so far, CAI and MBRP exhaust. headers will finish her breathing off for now. |

Motor Trend has the 1/4 mi. @ 14.4 sec.@ 98.0 MPH -6M and .................................... 14.6 sec.@ 96.3 MPH -6A For the V6 RS (20"tires) PS.. What was the temp. & elevation ? If they were high it would make for slow times. Las Vegas elev.= 2,028 ft. maybe the track is even higher = Not Good at all to get fast 1/4 mi. times.............. The only good thing is the very low humidity you have there. |

I would personally suggest going with 1 5/8 primaries.
You won't really need more than that unless you plan on doing much more serious modification than just exhaust/intake, and the smaller diameter should help with your torque. - X
