ACE Steering Wheel

Installed a new rally wheel from ACE Custom Steering!

What a nice steering wheel!! Way better than the factory, in comfort and feel.

High quality leather, fit & finish.

Install took about an hour, not really difficult at all! All ya need is a few Torx bits and a decent length allen wrench.

If anyone wants to meet up to get a grip on this.. I am all over the DFW Metro area for work almost weekly, shoot me a PM and we will try to work out a time.. If you have not seen these yet, visit www.acecustomsteering.com

I will be attempting to set up a group buy on these and get these into more Camaro owners cars soon. They offer many different models for cars & trucks.. (these will work for group buy also)

If you are interested in this, send a PM .. I have already worked out some of the details to get some of these into the DFW Market...

Wow that looks real nice! And it keeps all the factory buttons and air bag?

Yes, it retains everything that was stock, but it all needs to be changed from your wheel to the new one..

Looks good, man! I love my Ace wheel. When I had mine done, I did it in all black leather instead of contrasting colors, because I did all of my trim in inferno orange to match my door panels and dash strip. I thought it might look weird with orange leather on the wheel and an orange trim piece, so I just went with an all black leather wheel, and I think it turned out great. I did get the orange contrast stitching, though, so that kind of ties it all in together without overdoing it.

I don't have any more of a close up picture of the wheel itself, but here's a shot of my interior. I need to vacuum the car, so ignore the dirt in the floorboard, please. But in the picture, you can see my painted trim panels, see my Ace steering wheel, and see my Hurst short-throw shifter with custom orange-on-black shifter knob.

do you have to send in your old wheel for a core charge? I am assuming that if you do,that you do it after you get your new one since you have to change all the buttons and trim...

It's up to you if you send back the old wheel. They charge more if you don't want to return your original wheel, though. I bought mine through SparksAI, and if you want to keep your factory wheel, they charge you an additional $199 for the core charge.

But what they send you is the core of the wheel, and you install it in your car and install the airbag, the trim piece, the buttons, and the wiring from your old wheel. Then send back the core of your old wheel if you want to save $199.

Yes, they do wish you return the core, they are very liberal and allow about 30 days, enough time for you to try & ensure you like the new wheel... as if!

Too bad it only really goes with bright colors. Dark colors kinda get left out for obvious reasons i suppose.
