What's good for mice or rats if you store in a storage unit?

Savannah, and I'd say thanks, that's not actually mine. Looks very similar to mine, can't get mine to slow down long enough for a good pic like that.

Wonderful companion though. These cats will play fetch and he's so sweet. Like my disclaimer said though, not legal in all states unfortunately.

I've always kept my car in the garage in the winter. One year when I had my 94 V6 Camaro I went outside to start it up, it wouldn't. Checked under the hood to find a mouse had chewed through my ignition wires. Luckily my dad was an electrician, so he was able to make it look decent again. But ever since that, I've had the devices AndyWSea is talking about in my garage. I have a big garage, so I have one plugged in at each side of the garage. Haven't had any damage since, so I'm assuming the devices work.

Fresh CabŪ #1 Botanical Rodent Repellant I use it in my storage barns and garage and in my car when stored. Keeps mice out smells like cedar . Can get it at Tractor Supply or local hardware.

I would never use D-Con or other rat poisons, you have no control over where they go to die. If they choose the inside of a wall or in the attic, it's gonna smell really bad for a while.
