Need help with finding quieter exhaust

I am a newbie here and been trying to research a good mild exhaust.

here is my setup as I know. I recently purchased a 2013 Convertible Camaro 2SS and to my delight it came with upgrades. it has Volant cai, Headers, a mild cam, high flow cats I believe with LSP exhaust (loadmouth II?). I love the car, but would like to tone the sound down and kill the drone.

I have watched many videos and read many post on the tone and removing of the dreaded drone.

I am looking for guidance on what would be the best options, I have seen the following for recommendation.
-Magnaflow
-Dynomax VT. I cant use this as I have a convertible
-Borla s-type/touring
-Solo with J-pipes

has anyone have experience going from LSP to something milder with a similar setup?

any help is appreciated.

A Magnaflow resonated X-pipe could help tone down the drone.

Hey ConvCamaroSS..........We have had customers who really enjoyed the tone and loudness of the Solo-Performance with J-pipes exhaust. Not as loud as the others and less drone.

The J-pipes alone will help with the drone but not so much the volume...

I just installed Magnaflow race mufflers (14156) to the end of pipes before the outlet and it really calmed down the drone and noise.

I love my Solo-Performance with J-pipes. Just the right tone when I'm 'being good'.
Great clarity in the higher volume range. ( loud, very loud )

Is it better to go with a cat-back or axle-back system?

I installed npp mufflers and a switch to control it. My options are on with the cutout open or off with the cutout closed. I don't use any computer controlled signal. Mine is vert v6 so not too loud any time

I had flowmasters and the drone was unstoppable even with J's. Went with magna flo's and am very pleased, mello but good in normal driving, loud and aggressive when WFO...my 2 cents

The convertible stock exhaust comes with exhaust flaps, and I would assume since you bought the car with aftermarket exhaust is missing the pipes that comes with the flaps. You might need to get those pipes with the flaps to make the car quieter. That is the only exhaust stock part that is in my car , my car had LT headers and full exhaust and it's only loudon cold start and at wide open throttle. Is like having Dr. Jekyl and Mr Hyde.

Thanks Everyone! I did find out I do have a full 3'' LSP exhaust from cat back. I have a appointment with a local performance shop to get there input as well.

The Solo axleback is just a straight pipe and Jpipes. The catback is the better way to go and sounds amazing. +1 for a Solo catback with Jpipes.

This is my 2nd Convertible. I run the catback Borla S-Type on both.
