I had to re-apply 3M tape to the letters which was a pain to trim! I used an exacto knife and small diagnal cutteres to trim the excess. The I applied a strip of masking tape and marked where I wanted the letters to go. After curing overnight they were ready to install! Oh, I used gray primer for plastic and semi gloss black enamal spray paint. Here's the finished results!

Thanks guys! I got a PM from Jekyl-n-hyde requesting a rear end view showing the 315 tires, so here's your pic David! Hope it helps!
Edit: This was an earlier pic from last month without the Camaro emblem |

WoW .. You gotta just love your car... I do .... ever think about photo shopping your plate into the new>>>new york colors to see how it would look?? .... ya know you don't have to return the old ones .... just say they were stolen and you can keep them on the mantel ... =)) .... I have all 3 sets of my old "KORVETTE" plates ... (but not the car any longer) and when I turned in my "SPORTRAC" plates at the DMV the girl actually gave one back to me and said ... we will just say it was stolen ..=)) *** I can"t believe when I got my special plate for my new Camaro in August... "45TH" was available >>> not any longer ... they are on my Cammy now .... =)

You lucked out on the 45th plate! I prefer the white plates over the new ones.

I finally got my hash marks from thecamarodecalstore.com on my Camaro! As usual I am not happy with my work! I just don't have the knack for cosmetic stuff, especially when it comes to getting things to line up. I can install headers, cai's, suspension stuff, etc, but when it comes to stuff that sticks....fagetaboutit! They look pretty good but I didn't get them to line up perfectly on the fender crease and the space between them isn't perfect! I'm a perfectionist so I'll probably order a new set and re-do them! I give camarodecalstore 2 thumbs up, , good product and easy transaction! Here's a couple pics!

The splitter looks sick, you should paint the center with the same color of the car!!

I'm right there with ya Mike, mechanical stuff I have no problem with, but like you, I am too anal for the cosmetic stuff.

I'm really sorry for having too be a pain in the butt. But with all the comments posted up on ssmike,s build & the continueing new mods the person has made on his vehicle w/ the personnel extra touches. I know there are a lot of vehicles to be considered for this nomination. But please take time too look this one all over. Thanks

My vision and goals are almost met! I've always envisioned a racey, low profile, de-chromed, red and black, fast beast with some personal custom touches, which I think I have pulled off after 3 years of modding! My true excitement comes from DRIVING BIG RED! I like looking at it but I much prefere to be blasting down a twisty road and revelling at the sheer joy of the added power and handling I have from all the work I've put into it! You can have the car show scene, I'd much rather be out tooling around a country road with other Camaro friends than walking around looking! Don't get me wrong though, I LOVE looking too! There's nothing like a large group of 5th gens to gawk at! Spike can attest to the joy of "spirited driving" after our little "bad ass" romp a couple weeks ago! Anyway, thanks again and who knows, maybe someday BIG RED will be COTW! It's just not time yet! |
