MGP caliper covers on non-rs v6?

I'm thinking about either painting the stock calipers red or getting caliper covers, but I'm not sure if it will fit the LT stock wheels.

Although some people do install the caliper covers, they are not really a very common modification on this forum. If you're not sure the covers will fit, I recommend you go ahead and paint them red, it's a lot cheaper and still looks good.

Paint...NO COVERS!

BTW, RS doesn't have anything to do with the brakes. The same brakes on all V6 no matter if it's RS or not. Same goes with an SS. All SS have the same brakes no matter if it's an RS or not.

There are only 2 sizes of brakes. All v6 models will have the same size brake and covers will fit all wheels. I chose the covers for 2 reasons. One being is that without the covers fitting over the brakes, painted calipers just look small and dinky. The other reason is I was set on getting a bright color (yellow) and the covers cover up more dust and film from the brakes. So the covers reduce the amount of brake dust you see. My covers are yellow and I usually never have to wash them only when I was the car once a week.

Personally I like my covers too. I appreciate the purist's who detest them, but 99% of people don't know the difference and they don't look bad!
In fact I've had a lot of compliments...

And the guys that know can think I'm "all show and no go"... cause I'm not.

I believe he referenced RS in relation to the wheels. The RS wheels have plenty of brake clearance, where the Non-RS steel wheels do not have much room and he was worried about clearance to the covers.

Regarding the original question, I prefer paint over covers any day of the week. Covers are a bit cheesy IMO (No offense to those who have them)

Best regards,

Tyler

Now if you get the $10.00 plastic china made "brembo" caliper covers that is all kind of cheesy, Parmesan and cheddar.

I've had covers from MGP on the steelies and no clearance problems. I don't think.

you could totally go with the caliper covers, they have ones that just say Camaro, or have the chevy bowtie, plus they come in red and black.

Here is the link for 2011 Camaro LT

Actually they come almost in every single color you want. I would reccomend the ones with the painted bolts. I've seen cars without them and it looks blah...
I've seen a black camaro around town that has either silver ones or white ones. They look great. Oh yeah and the front cover are slightly bigger than the back ones since the front brakes are bigger. And yes they will fit, even with steelies on. Lol
