Any incentives

Is GM offering any incentives currently with the Camaro? Any special pricing options or whatever? I'm already getting military discount plus a possible $750 off for USAA member plus the $3500 for cash for clunkers program but I'm trying to get all the discounts I can to make this purchase a bit cheaper hah. I am only interested in the LS V6. I want to build my own so I can get what I want and NEED w/o the extra stuff. I'm only looking at the V6 LS w/ no options other than automatic (have to go auto cause that is the only Camaro that qualifies for the 3500 CARS program). I knocked down the mili price from $23k to $19k after the $3500 credit. Any incentive programs coming up soon from GM?

not that I know of. The biggest 'special' is getting one. Haha. Dealers are charging over MSRP from 2k-10k be happy with what your getting seriously, not being an @$$hole at all. But seems like your getting the best deal I've seen so far. What the heck is clunkers?

My guess is that it will be 2011 before we see incentives on Camaro.

There is only a thin profit at MSRP.

Why would they want to give away money when they are broke and the car is selling well?

I would think under the new GM after they have screwed all their credtors, unions and written off a ton of debt, that their overhead would be much lower thus increasing the margin on the Camaro. Maybe not right today but by mid winter or spring I would think we should see some discounts and maybe incentives. Unless the bankuptcy judge does not give them what they want. Then it's liqidation time and bye bye Camaros.

Clunkers is a bill Obama has passed. In order to stir car buying he and congress passed this bill that would allow ppl who drive cars/trucks that get under 18 mpg under the new standards to go to a dealer, and buy a new car within certain standards. in doing so, they would get anywhere from 3500-4500 dollars for there old car. you can find out more at cars.gov which is the offical govt website.

My dealer told me about a $1000 incentive that applies to the Camaro for anyone with a non-GM vehicle. I can't find the details anywhere online, but he showed me the paper and I am happy to have $1000 off.

For the CARS program (cash for clunkers) the new car has to be 22 mpg combined mileage.

The manual gets better mileage than the auto in the V6. Based on 45% highway and 55% city from the EPA site, I calculated just over 22 mpg for the V6. No joy on the V8 for CARS.

Can someone advise your combined mileage off the EPA window sticker for all 4 trans engine variants?

Now to figure out how to use my dad's old farm truck in the program...has to be registered and insured "bty the same person" for a full year prior to the trade.

"by the same person" does not eaual "buyer of new car" in legal terms to me.

My dealer didn't honor the military discount but they did honor my USAA member discount of $750 so I got the car below MSRP
