You should not have to have a brand new car repainted. Definitely call GM customer service & see if you can get the car replaced. As for the GM/Chevy accessories if you bought them at the time you purchased the car, it would take a couple of weeks for them to arrive and if it was an item was out of stock or on hold then you could be looking at a month after purchase.

as for the floor mats, they gave me just crappy plain ones with the car. Guess they just come that way. Got the "premium" ones off ebay later.

It's not stupid to feel this way, you paid with your hard earned money. Man, I'd be upset that my brand new car needs completely stripped and repainted. I hope GM steps in here and makes this right for you. Good luck OP and keep us posted. That is a really sharp car!

My car was recently repurchased by GM for excessive rust underneath. The thing that gets me is someone had to see the rust problem on my car as they should have seen the defect in your paint.I guess a pre delivery inspection isn't what it use to be.Get them in sell them and let the consumer deal with it.Pure

This is why when I buy a car, before I drive it off the lot I look at it front to back top to bottom inside and out to make sure nothing is wrong with the car. If there is I get it in writing that they will fix it or if they wont agree to that, I don't accept the car and will ask for a different one. Good luck to you. I hope it works out.

That's what I was wondering.

OP, you didn't notice this when you took possession of the vehicle?

I picked it up on a rainy night. Brought it home and wiped it down in the garage. Due to work schedule i didnt get to drive it alot. Also most of the issue is on the passenger side. I noticed it after the first time i washed it.
Your right i should of pulled it into a bay or something at the dealership and checked it over.
The dealership is going to call me today about this issue.

And isn't the dealership supposed to perform a Pre-Delivery Inspection of the vehicle prior to the customer taking ownership?

How is it the dealership completely missed this during that process?

This is a weird situation. I hope they get this issue fixed to your liking. I honestly would not be happy with anything less than a replacement vehicle, given the number of panels this affects, and considering it was like this before you ever touched it.

There's no way I would allow them to repaint. New car only for this problem. Hope it goes smooth for you.
