My dealers exact words "Warranty does not cover panel adjustments, if you noticed before delivery that could have been negotiated, you will need to go to our body shop, our mechanics don't know how to adjust panels properly"
Needless to say I decided to play with the panels myself.

Not sure, but can't you adjust the hood support at the rear connected to the fender? Maybe drop it a hair? No need to touch the support connected to the hood as its probably right where it needs to be. If the front end looks fine, obviously thats not where your problem lies. If your fender contours line up with the door contours EVENLY? Id look at adjusting the hood to fender support first.

reviving a old thread....how much play is there in the torx adjustment screws? I put on a new hood, and have it flush everywhere but at the front of the cowl, behind the mail slot....the hood is about a 1/8 inch lower. I can raise the front two bumpers, or the hood will not latch. I have loosened the torx screws about two full turns, but have not noticed a change....continued loosing them? I do not know how much play there is and do not want the bolt to come loose.
thanks

Easy fix is to shim the hood. Otherwise the back of the fender might be too high and needs to come down? This like others said would probably need to have the front come down some so that your gap stays even. It is tricky. Even if you use correct parts and not aftermarket. However on these cars I doubt it's that bad? But every time that tool stamps a fender, tooling gets worn. Over time it doesn't match exactly. But you can still get it correct. Also. Always prime fenders over the black primer. That black primer is not good enough to be the primer for the paint.
