Roto-Fab LFX

So as most of you know, the location and specs on the MAF sensor are different on the LFX than the LLT. I had a 2011 V6 that I really liked the Roto-Fab intake on. When I traded that car in for my 2012, I emailed the guys and gals at Roto-Fab about the changes, and they informed me that they were already working on making an updated unit for the LFX engines.

They have now released their CAI for the 2012 V6s. In my case I still had the 2011 model, so they were able to sell and ship me just the new MAF sensor housing piece. Saved me a bunch of money, and I've got my CAI back!

Anyway, this is just an FYI for anybody that might have been waiting like I was. Cheers!

If you're wondering about the extra windshield washer fill cap, it's for my relocation kit and scoop that I'm also gonna put on. It's still attached from when I had the CAI on my 2011.

Well after that first post, I put my daughter to bed, and headed back out to the garage. Took the wheel off and installed the scoop and washer bottle relocation stuff I had from my 2011.

To answer your question, I haven't driven it yet. I will in the morning. However, it made a noticeable difference in my 2011, and I'm expecting it to be about the same on my 2012.

Glad to see you have it together. We appreciate you sticking with Roto-fab! For those wondering, our 2012 kit is the same as the 2010-11 with the exception of the MAF housing. You will enjoy the same great performance, sound and appearance as our 2010-11 model. We have a variety of options for this intake so please let us know what you would like!

Drove it a bunch today. Same results as on my 2011. Throttle response feels better, and the car just feels less labored, if you will. You can tell the engine is getting the air it wants and craves. Lol.

Hmmm so if we buy a used 2010-2011 CAI, will Roto-Fab sell us just the MAF housing if needed?

I don't see why not. They're still making money. The new housing tube piece was $89.95.

Great to hear it! We are getting great feedback from 2012 owners, so hopefully that helps with others out there that are still in the decision process.
