Yep. In the Atlanta event, I think all 1st round eliminations were all by breakout. The day before we all qualified in sweltering heat and humidity , then a cold front came thru and it rained all night. So Sunday morning when eliminations started at 10 am ,the 1st round sacrificial lambs were being led to slaughter. LOL I am not good at going "slow" even though I tried to hit my index time by braking. I think being able to detune some HP out would be easier to hit your index than playing the brake game.

Then I would presume he was just going off the foot brake.
I know that folks like Josh aka BlackFlag was very good at index racing and practiced a lot. He had a whole system for how he went into the lights to cut .00x lights.

So true street it's either a 9.0 or 10.0 index? That sucks.
A 9.50 index in gen v is a bit better.

It was that way in the Atlanta event this year. And you can run under the index and it still counted. The winner of the 13 second index was running sub 13 second runs the first two passes and then ran over 13 seconds to average his time to closest to 13 second index. I assume the rules are the same in Ohio but not for sure. I ran true street just because I thought I would be able to use the extra track time but it actually backfired. Had track delays with cleanups and when we left to go to drive the 30 mile course I actually lost 2 practice rounds in 5th Gen. True street ran back to back 3 passes so my times were dead on the first two but lost a tenth on the third run. Setting up manual fan switches inside the car helped me keep temps down some.

You can run as fast as your little hart desires in open comp. It's kinda of a dial in race. ..I'll post up the basics in a few!

Here's how it works...
Three passes in qualifying on Saturday. Your quickest pass, minus a tenth, becomes your dial in for all of eliminations on Sunday. Qualifying order is determined by reaction time. Pro tree, but .500 instead of .400 if memory serves...

You got a Pete with a c15 to pull that thing with? Also needs a few of them round rubber things....it'll make pulling it a little easier!

Only a Duramax Dually now. I can justify the tractor racing a few times a year. Maybe over the winter.

The ol D-Max will handle that no problem.
At least you'll have new rubber all around for the trip.
